How to Get to Tutukaka or Bay of Islands to board Grand Cru
By Road
- Tutukaka is approx. 190klms north of Auckland or approx. 25klms northeast of Whangarei. From Auckland drive north on State Highway One (SH1) until you reach Whangarei (approx. 2 hours). From SH1, follow the signs to Tutukaka Coast. After a lovely 30 min scenic drive, traveling northeast from Whangarei, you will reach Tutukaka.
- Bay of Islands is approx. 236klms north of Auckland. It will take you approx. 3 hours and 20 mins to drive from Auckland to the Bay of Islands via SH1 to Kawakawa; then onto State Highway 11 to Paihia, Bay of Islands.
By Air
- Air New Zealand Link operates daily flights from the Auckland International Airport to either the Kerikeri (Bay of Islands) Airport or to the Whangarei Airport for Tutukaka.
By coach / bus
- Northliner Express or Intercity Coachlines operate daily express coach services from Auckland to Northland. Whangarei is the stop for the Tutukaka Coast and Paihia for the Bay of Islands.
